Karen and Josh

Manhattan, NY

Karen and Josh had their wedding and reception at Providence. Karen is a talented designer and she designed a poster for their wedding. I love the poster very much and asked for a copy. It's very consistent and well designed.

And being music lovers they performed for the guests after the ceremony. We stopped by a local bar for an after party, as well.

I was waiting for people to walk toward the after party; she was jumping around avoiding my camera

Holiday Wonders in Beacon Theatre, Dec 18-26, 2007

The annual NTDTV's Holiday Wonder is here! it will run from December 18th to 26, 2007, in Beacon Theatre {2124 Broadway}.

All the performances are done by the largest Chinese performance troupe in the USA. All the pieces are completely original, choreographed by the troupe leaders, and accompanied with live orchestra by the Divine Performance Arts Orchestra with completely original music.

I was there when they began their tradition. I am pretty sure I'll be back, over and over.

So if you are looking for something new, yet authentic, and rooted in traditional Chinese culture, amazing costumes, beautiful background pieces {also original and done by designers and motion artists from }, you should check it out!

Anita and Keith, August

3 West Club
Manhattan, NY

Anita is a frequent blogger on the wedding site I am pretty amazed at how in depth Anita had been writing up her wedding progress. She also has an amazing eye for design and made a few "bridesmaid letters." She sent me the most most amazing all hand made wedding invitation with beautiful hand-written cover {and her mom sewed the limited-edition covers, I was told}.

Anita and Keith's wedding was held in the immensely huge St Patrick's Cathedral on 5th Ave and 51 st. The church was open to public and the number of tourist on a Saturday was as surreal as its size. It's pretty interesting shooting in a church of this scale. 3 West is a neat place with quite a lot of airy rooms. When you take a balcony or the rooftop you can see St Patrick's at the back.

"I'm getting married!!" to the horror of the hair stylist and mom she bounced up and down

Bridesmaid, kinda confused

This is Wes of Very nice dude and very easy going, and unobtrusive

The scale... breath taking

I don't even remember why they did that

St Patrick's at the back. I put down my flash and forgot about it. A guest found it and came downstairs and gave me back the flash. Phew, good thing I had to stay in the lobby waiting for my assistant {that's a $400 flash, not the most expensive equipment a photographer has to buy, but still, they don't make that model anymore, and the new model is somewhat wacky}

Jennifer and Steve, August

Prospect Park Boat House
Brooklyn, NY

From one boat house to another, Jennifer and Steve's wedding was held in the Prospect Park Boat House's Audubon Center. The park has tons of open spaces if you can spare the few minutes of walking distance.

This is just so wrong... but so tempting...
